Holiday Montage
What with the holidays and the year-end schedule at work I haven’t had much time to think about blogging. So I’ll use a written montage to communicate what’s been going on lately
- Chris driving to home from Birmingham after the end of the PeopleSoft upgrade (“Eye of the Tiger” is on the radio)
- Sharyl driving to the mall in holiday traffic
- Chris working at the computer, trying to wrap up another project before the end of the year
- Sharyl on the couch, intently going over shopping receipts
- Chris doing one-armed push-ups on the living room floor
- Sharyl in a department store doing arm curls with two large gift bags
- Chris wrapping Christmas presents with one hand
- Sharyl downing a glass of raw eggs
- Chris chopping firewood in the backyard
- Sharyl on the couch again, this time the shopping receipts are piled high around her
- Chris and Sharyl cleaning the house
- Chris and Sharyl exchanging gifts in a winter wonderland
This post was inspired by Slate’s retrospective of Rocky montages.

Chris,
I finally got the time to check out your site, and I must say I enjoyed reading the “Politics” . I wish I could have known about your spot back during the 2002 election . I was like a volcano about ready to blow and with very few people in south Mississippi with which to speak !!!! I had no idea that you and Sharyl were Democrats at heart!! Everyone in the family knows that I am the most liberal person in Jackson County–if not in Mississippi– but you guys keep your mouths zipped very well—oh, I know it’s those sticky egg whites sticking your mouths ! ha! No, I am not a fan of our Prez that was “born with a silver foot in his mouth”. The only thing that saves the man from impeachment is Dick Cheney. And he is probably also the only thing that would actually be worse than ole “W” as our fair leader.
I don’t take the time to go online too often while we are repairing the house but when I do, I will try to read your site– get fired up!!!
Love ya! Auntie R
